There is a place up in Monte Cristo canyon that I like to call "the ponds". Off of a dirt road there is a narrow canyon just small enough to fit a small stream and a series of ponds. …and has the hint of an upcoming summer. Due to the steep grade of the Rocky canyon walls the hours of direct sunlight are limited. The Canyon wall are constantly blanketed in mysterious shadows. Often times I sneak away to "the ponds" by myself, and my friends and family think it is kind of strange.
