I finally finished, they just sat there silent. Not stirring, twitching, or glancing to each other for reassurance. They just sat there now expressionless. I told the truth and it seemed to break my parents. They did not appear mad, or upset, or afraid anymore. They died inside. Even if they tried I do not think they would have known how to respond.
