The Boarding House
In the short story The Boarding House written by James Joyce, I do not think that the ending concludes the story. Throughout the story the narrator is fairly vague about all of his descriptions. Many of the main characters emotions, feelings and motivations are described, however at the same time the conversations between the characters are not explained and no detail is revealed at all about what they say to each other.

will happen. Of course, you can imagine what will happen and in some respects that is a good enough conclusion, however for me in this story I would have wanted to know of the conversation between a number of different characters including the one between Mrs. Mooney and her daughter, as well as more importantly the conversation between Mrs. Mooney and Mr. Doran, and what Polly was so anxiously awaiting on her bed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Bibliography**
