Same-sex marriage There are many important issues discussed in public policy today. One of these issues is homosexual marriage. This is an important issue because it deals with a relatively large minority of the United States. This issue is put into many different lights. This is unfair and unconstitutional. There is a "gay gene" and homosexuals are simply acting in the way that their genetic code promotes. Homosexuals are people, too. If one gene in everyone's DNA had been slightly different, everyone could be homosexual. "There are only two ways to establish a policy of equality: Give rights to all, or do not give rights to anybody." This dilemma, defined by French writer Alexis de Tocqueville, must be resolved.
