ROCK TYPES
There were three different rock types found at Joggins. The three types were shale, siltstone and sandstone. These rocks were formed around three hundred million years ago. Shale is easily reconizable by its appearence. It is flat, dark in colour, brittle, and gives the appearence of being labeled.
