Winter De Salis is sixteen and, after twelve long years she is finally returning home to 'Warriewood' in search of her past. Her many great, and not-so-great qualities make her a memorable character. …mysteries surrounding the death of her mother she proves to be a friendly warm and inviting young lady. Winter is a developing character. She has many personal qualities which range from being stubborn and rude at the beginning of the book, to being a warm, memorable and accepting character towards the end. Watching Winter mature is certainly interesting, and by the conclusion of the book you see that Winter De Salis is a lovely character.
