The most recent form of communication and perhaps the fastest growing medium present in today's society is the Internet. It is common to say that the internet is the most significant new communications medium of our times and that 'the internet changes all' (Cunningham 2002:244) There are a variety of explanations as to why this is so but perhaps the most popular one is the user's ability to interact with the world from one central location.
