Prejudice. What do you think of when you see or hear this word? Webster's dictionary defines prejudice as "a judgment or opinion formed without knowing the facts, or hatred an fear of other races, creeds, and nations." I have experienced many encounters with prejudice. Although none have been directly toward me, I still took offence. No on should ever have to become the center of comments that degrade them because of their differences.

thought it wasn't fair, so I didn't talk to those boys for an entire week. I thought it might change their minds, but it didn't. Prejudice is never a pretty thing. I believe that if we can at least try to change how people react to certain races, creeds, or nations, that this nation just might be a happier place. It might be hard, but one step at a time is all that it takes.
