It's the lessons that are taken out of these experiences that determine the true effect that it can have. Institutions such as the farm consist of a range of individuals who have committed crimes before, thus negative experiences are inevitable. The all out result of the institution however is positive as it allows individuals to see the wrongs in their actions by teaching them morals and values that they may not have been taught before.
