While the second version seems to support the Canadian forces, as it believes the Canadian nationalism was a direct result from the wars end. What I learned from this assignment was the importance of being neutral when writing historical events. It is important to be neutral so that there is little dispute on what actually occurred in the past. I think the first version has done this well, at least better than the second version.
