…bring to my attention the many verses that are not applicable to our day and age, and causes me to realize that many commands that we adopt (as were adopted by persons in the scriptures) are often practiced out of cultural obligation. I really need to take a step back and think about why I do the things I do, is it just cultural, or is it something that should be universally applied and accepted.
