…In the end, Louise does die from finding out that her husband is alive and losing her chance at living life without him. However, she does end up truly free. The irony of this story demonstrates this. The freedom that she did not have in life, she will obtain in death. It is bittersweet that she dies so soon after realizing her joy; however, she will get what she most desires and that is uplifting.
