…it is fitting for someone to die for one's country. Owen does an excellent job of illustrating his point, and opens the common citizen's mind to that of a soldier's. Everything from the message to the structure of the poem is brilliant. Nonetheless, after reading of such a brutal way to die, one could not help but agree that the value of one's life is far from the value of one's death for a country.
