rejecting choice. In high school, she discovered her passion for art when my parents registered her for an art class, which she attended apathetically at first. I watched her as she halfheartedly made fundamental decisions, repeatedly losing control over her fate. With each decision she declined to make, I strived to add variety to my life. Each selection carried complexity, yet I was determined to decide, or more importantly to have something to decide between.
