The death penalty should be abolished because of the costs, living conditions, unreliable public defendants, and amount of innocent people that have been killed. Life imprisonment without parole should replace the death penalty. If the convicted are truly guilty, then they will spend their entire lives in jail. If the convicted are innocent, then at least they are still alive to maybe one day be found innocent.
