While the men and women of the play blatantly lie to all around them, one must note that neither the Witches, nor Lady Macbeth, lied during the play; they merely play with the truth to fit their hidden agenda. Whether mischievousness or evil intent is unknown, however it certainly makes one think twice before being mendacious ever again.
