Those two hard, long months of never-ending practices seemed to have paid off as we, the girls in gold and maroon, clinched our first of many victories of the long season ahead. This battle, which was conquered by nine powerful girls, was like no other. My anticipation, my preparation, and the game, seemed as though it were an illusion now overtaken by feelings of pure joy and accomplishment.
