Samuel Coleridge includes horror as well as affection in the poem. Samuel Coleridge makes something which is extraordinary believable. His choice of words create very graphic 'word-pictures' (imagery); from horror and eeriness to brief visions of love and beauty so deep, it can even touch the readers senses.
