Since the McCarthy era, nothing like the Red Scare has ever occurred in American society or government. People have become very cautious not to repeat the mistakes of the past, especially ones so rediculous as the deportation of immigrants for their political beliefs. But the question remains as to whether America will always remember this episode of the early 1920's, or will she simply forget it and make the same mistakes over and over again.
