…a leader with brains. Without Cavour and his forged alliance with France, we would not be in the position we are today with a parliament and a constitutional monarch. Very likely, Austria would still be ruling much of Italy and possible more. So, yes, I can look back with surety and say we won the revolution because of help and a cunning mind. Any revolution that is to be won must have those two things.
