…looking back at America during the colonial era, it is seen that women were primary shapers in the world of marriage, child-raising and household duties. But as Mary states " a great deal more research is needed in order to allow historians to gain a fuller picture of the female". It might not have been the worst of times for women, but it was definitely not the best of times to be called the "Golden Age".
