The Cuban Missile Crisis was a diplomatic conflict that lasted for thirteen days. It came about after the US discovered that the Soviet Union was building missile bases in Cuba, which is very close to America. The world could breathe again. During this period there were so many actions taken that could have been seen to be hostile, resulting in a conflict. It is very fortunate that the leaders listened to the voice of reason and kept the (relative) peace.
