Canada's building product market base. Brazil, Chile and Indonesia, (along with former customer, Europe), have started to make significant advancements on this market for themselves, posing a threat to Canada's major export. Cost of production is fairly low and technology has developed efficient manufacturing plants. Luckily, under NAFTA, Canada has preferential access to the largest construction market in the world, the US. As long as the US continues to grow, Canada will prosper as well.
