On top of this harcsh reality, when Teddy tried to express his emotions of anger towards his uncle after he was told this he was scolded for trying to stand up to his uncle. After this incident, Teddy tore up all his paper dolls and catles and stopped playing with the things he loved most all because of something said by his uncle.
