Watching the documentary "Surviving Columbus" I got an understanding from both sides growing up believing Christopher Columbus was a hero and that's he and his explorers taught the Indians how to be civilized. …the struggles their ancestors had with Columbus and his men but I believe one thing good came out of all this, the U.S.A. As much as I hate Columbus for what he did to the Indians I have to acknowledge the fact that maybe the U.S.A. would not be the country it is today and I would not be the person I am today without that selfish, egotistical bully Christopher Columbus .
