I chose to review this movie for many reasons. First of all, because it is one of the better "classic" movies and my mom has always liked it. As far as I can tell the rest of the characters were fictional and loosely based on real people of the time. For example, Herr Zeller was an officer for the Nazi's. Although with a partial American bias, I think he fairly accurately portrayed the attitudes of the Nazi party as strict and plotting.
