This journal article tries to answer the question of whether cigarette smoking actually causes stress or not. It then makes it seem like Nicotine calms them, but it is only because they are feeding that addiction. The study suggest that if more people new that smoking actually added stress to peoples lives that this information may help stop people from starting at all.
