Aim: The aim of the investigation is to find out whether or not the length of the wire affects the resistance.
Prediction: I predict that as the wire increases in length the resistance will increase, (collision of particles causing a decrease in velocity for the moving particle). I think this will happen because as the resistance increases the ions are closer together causing more collisions slowing down the velocity of the current through the wire.

directly proportional to the resistance - double the length and the resistance doubles. Evaluation My experiment could have been improved as I could have changed more then one thing about the experiment instead of only changing the length. There was one strange result on the Volts results, however I do not know how this occurred and if I repeated the experiment I would probably make sure all the results fitted in to my experiment properly.
