…restored to China. In the summer of 1945 it seems that many were misinformed or just not informed at all as to the diplomatic state of the nation. Some were under the impression that Japan was bombed to end the war while others believed it was to prevent Russian involvement (which was already planned for anyway.) It seems tha these views can be attributed to poor communication between the officials involved rather than difference in opinion.
