Jobs were created, and new voluntary efforts, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, which was created in 1934. Today Alcoholics Anonymous and other drug counseling centers exist to help many people with their addictions. As we all know problems dealing with drug and alcohol abuse are looked down upon and many people still believe that prohibition is the answer.
