…Patton's military achievements caused authorities to overlook strong civilian criticism of some of his methods, including his widely reported striking of a hospitalized, shell-shocked soldier General George S. Patton Jr's influence helped win World War II. With good tactics, pushing his men for victory, and and winning battles as quickly as he did were his ways of influencing it. For these reasons I strongly believe he helped win the war and saved thousands of men.
