e novel that really grabbed me Least Favorite Part- I didn't like that Big Brother "won" in the end. Even though it wasn't meant to be a very happy ending, it really bothers me because I cannot stand it when someone's individuality or independence is choked. Overall Opinion- I think that, although I didn't like the book much, it went well with Jane Eyre because both Winston and Jane are striving for independence or understanding.
