…understanding is how we can truly honor and respect those who have died as well as those who have survived. Before I had many of my family members, Catholics as well as Jews, asking me why in my right mind was I taking such a depressing class on the Holocaust. I myself didn't really know why. Little did I know I would gain so much from the experience and for that I am truly grateful.
