The Dangers of Friendship
Sometimes friends have to hurt friends in order to help them. This seems to be the theme of the book Of Mice and Men. Friendship is a rare thing between people in the 1930's. Though murder is a crime and in all cases is wrong, Lennie's death was more of a mercy killing then a hideous crime. George was in the right when he killed Lennie. Curly hated Lennie from the moment he laid eyes on him and would have made his death very long and painful. Curly's wife is the real murderer.
