Childish in the Beginning, Mature by the End
No one is born mature. We are all imature at one stage of our life, and many of us grow
up at one point or another. Maturity is a big theme in the book The Catcher in the Rye. I think
many people are immature for different reasons, there could be a tragedy in the family that

think Holden doesn't act his age. In my opinion, to be immature is a thing that everybody goes through, and its ok, but at one point we must all grow up. Many people might not even know that they're immature and they might even think they are very mature. Holden still needs to grow up but by the end of the book I think he went from a childish type to a more mature type.
