With the recent changes of laws, and the continuing weakness of contestants' arguments, in forty years, people may react with the same shock and horror when they hear that same sex marriages were once illegal. Then, and only then, will the United States be living up to the fact that marriage is, and must be, a fundamental right for everyone.
