Macbeth's fate was fair, but it's unfortunate so many people had to die before his fate could stop the murders. In conclusion, all of these Shakespearean characters were the cause of their own downfall. Each in their own way destroyed themselves over either something they wanted or something they were promised. All consequences were blinded with greed. I agree with Antiphanes when he said: "The quest for riches darkens the sense of right and wrong."
