Had Martin considered that, instead of pouring everything he had into Ruth and resting all of his hope and dreams in her, he may have been able to overcome his loss and move on and be happy in his life. Love is to great a gift to be taken lightly. Let me leave you with this quote: "Love is neither a bed of roses nor a carpet of thorns, it's what you make of it."
