The level of restrictions, however, probably creates a more manageable society than we would have achieved with a full implementation of Mill's theory. In my opinion, every one of us still has a long way to go until we get on the right path of self-control, pacifism and tolerance. If every person achieved a greater level of self-discipline, we could attempt to live according to the brilliant essay "On Liberty" written by John Stuart Mill.
