Although no one knows why the Indus Valley civilization collapsed, many theories have been incorporated, such as a season with massive floods that engulfed the city, or a change in soil making it impossible to farm. For whatever the reason the city-states of Harappa and Mohenjo-daro were the building blocks for many civilizations to come and have created ideas and principals we still use today.
