William Blake uses very vivid images in his words in relation to the theme of his poem. The imagery used was very essential to create moods, illustrate purpose, and get the point across. Furthermore, many other elements of poetry such as irony were demonstrated to more effectively reveal the theme. As a result of the use of imagery throughout the poem Blake may have helped change the fate of many children enforced to clean chimneys.
