…slow it was. I think the best part was the bit where you could make your own water wheel. I think that life was very hard for the parish apprentices. They had no freedom. All of their childhood was spent working and cleaning. But if they didn't work at the mill they would have been on the streets. So I think that life was hard but at least they had a roof over their head.
