in the textbook. Being that the same artist created both during the same time period, I can tell you several benefits I received from seeing the statue in person. The size was much larger than I expected, and the color, texture and intricacy were much more defined. Although I think that studying illustrations are very worth while, I think by seeing the art in person, the entire picture and objective of studying art is completed.
