The Haber process was developed by two men; a German scientist called Fritz Haber and a French chemist called Henri Le Chatelier. The Haber process is when a reversible reaction between nitrogen and hydrogen forming ammonia.

The development of the Haber process to produce ammonia was a blessing since it enabled production of fertilizers, refrigeration, cleaners, dyes and numerous other beneficial products for humankind. But as it seems for many other such useful chemicals, ammonia can also be quite easily misused. Hence ironically this blessing can also become a curse if used for the wrong purposes of harming others like as in explosives during war.
