Comedy to Horror, but differences aside they did have a few things in common. For example besides the basic Frankenstein story line both had a blind man that befriended the monster, in both movies the journal of Victor Frankenstein had a lot to do and in both movies the monster seemed to have a thing for the wife of Dr. Frankenstein. Now you can see that these movies are nothing alike, but exactly the same.
