…I believe that the idea of protecting our flag at eh sake of our freedom and rights is wrong. Passing this amendment will increase incidents of flag desecration. The flag is difficult to define and desecrations are unlikely, and therefore this amendment would accomplish little. The flag is not liberty, it stands for it, and if we pass this amendment we surely are contravening upon the liberty and rights that all Americans expect and deserve.
