…demonstrated that a regular horseshoe contest has as much suspense and tension as a basketball game. Both poets made the reader relate to what they were imaging, envisioning in their mind through the power of words. For me personally, I have a difficult time putting my thoughts on paper. And that is why I marvel at writings such as Fast Break and Horseshoe Contest of how easily and effectively the poet gets his point across.
