…our country or culture? I would have to say no. Without ethnocentrism their can be no decision making, that would cause a stagnant pool of indifference. This cannot be allowed, though it should be said that falling into the trap of thinking that you are always right can be just dangerous. So ethnocentrism is somewhat a double edged sword. A people cannot survive without it, but at the same time can be destroyed by it.
