However, although they were impressed with these things, the explorers did not want to be compared to them because they were in no way as civilized as themselves. They judged their lives and felt completely superior to them. In conclusion, without these explorers and their accounts of their explorations, nothing would be known of these uncivilized, yet interesting people.
