Twenty-first Amendment went into effect. The Eighteenth Amendment was the first amendment to ever be repealed. All of the amendments in the constitution gave Americans rights. There was freedom of speech, religion, and the press. There was the right to a fair trial, the right to bear arms, civil rights, the abolition of slavery, and many more. However, the Eighteenth Amendment was the only amendment in the constitution, which took away the freedom of Americans.
